Vocabulary expansion

So it slips my mind what Alona was telling me "NO" about yesterday but Abbi was intently listening to her. She came around the corner of the couch and out of her mouth was "no". Of course no meaning behind the word, it was just like look what I can say Mom and Dad! She is such a cutie, there is her new word!

Now we just gotta teach her the right words to say, which of course are already in progress. I have heard her say please and thankyou. Not the best pronunciation of the words but she will learn :)

I thought I would reply to your journal so you could get the recipe for ganache. It is usually used to pour over cakes or as truffle filling and is made from everything good!
This is how it is made, use 2 cups scolding hot heavy cream with 1 T melted butter inside. Make sure it's really hot, then add 1 cup chocolate chips--semisweet work the best. Mix that up with a spatula--not a whisk. If you use a whisk the chocolate will get trapped inside the wires. Once it's mixed up well you can pour it on a cake or dip cookies in it. It sets really quickly but it's best to set up in the refrigerator. OR you could chill it in the refrigerator and then dip it in melted chocolate and make homeade truffles. If you want to flavor it just use a little drop of flavorings like raspberry or mint or whatever you like. I appreciate that you read my blog!

Rest, after caring for eight+ two year olds is always appreciated! I'm glad I can squeeze in a nap a few times a week. Naps are my happy place.

Kara IS serious about flying me down there for her wedding. I have an appointment next week that determines if I am able to fly during my sixth month. We'll see!

I LOVED you calling me today! It was such a pleasant surprise! And I thoroughly enjoyed talking to Alona, smart cookie her!

I love reading your blog! Post some more soon!

Love,
Me
