Oh my poor eyes!

I go in to the ophthalmologist tomorrow. Yipee! It looks worse in person I promise. My eyes are so irritated, burning, itching, have white stringy discharge and many other wonderful symptoms. I hope that the Dr. can help me! I have not been functioning well.

April 18th

We went to Alona's soccer game on Saturday. Such nice weather. She had a lot of fun. I wanted to make the most out of the day and not just go home after an hour of being there. Their grandparents that live down there were out of state and my sister was at Lagoon. I get a little sad doing things by myself a lot of the time with my kids. But I decided to not let it get the best of me.
We had a lot of fun at the soccer game and then the kids rather go to my grandparents right after for lunch instead of staying and playing at the park. So we went there and borrowed her jelly, we had brought peanut butter and bread, but no jelly. They ate lunch and played with the little toys that were in the coat closet. And then we took me to the instacare in Layton.
My eyes have really been bugging me. The doctor there said that it is not bacterial (pink eye) because my eyes don't have puss in them when I sleep and my right eye is drastically effected and my left eye is not so it is not allergies. I am still using eye drops, but they are still really itchy and my right eye is still in a lot of pain . I am thinking of setting up an appointment with an opthamologist and see if he can tell me anything different. All that the instacare doctor did was use his light and look at my eye, maybe an optholmologist will be more thorough?
We then went to the Duck park (Layton park) the kids really liked feeding our leftover bread to the birdies(seagulls) and the ducks, geese and one black swan. The children enjoyed watching a little boy hand feed the swan and be bitten repeatedly, he must have thought that it was amusing.
We then went to the park and played. It is one of the very few left that have sand and a merry go round. The kids had a lot of fun there. There was a big scoop with levers each of them had to have a few turns on that one. And of course they all fell asleep on the way home. The nice weather stayed and I was able to cook dinner while they played outside!

Easter

We took a little from each paycheck from the end of February until Easter for new dresses, shoes and other things spending about twenty each time. The girls were very patient in leaving the store without something each time. The first time it was just Abbi who walked away with a dress, the second visit was a dress for Alona and the third were shoes for both of them and a new shirt for Kacen!
The children woke up and found their baskets first. They were occupied for awhile before coming in to our room excitedly and telling us all about what they had found in the living room. Their baskets which held a chocolate bunny, a bucket, chalk and a book. Alona sat down with her brother and sister and read their books to them before telling Mom what they had found. They were able to be distracted with breakfast before demanding to open the back door and go hunting. While lying in bed I could hear Mom, she's peeking through the blinds! Abbi kept tattling, Alona was too excited and knew that if she looked in to the back yard she would be able to see Something.
They were real cute and had a lot of fun. The girls went on their own and found enough to fill their baskets, Abbi even ran over to Kacen every once in awhile and put eggs in his basket for him.
They found candy, eggs, squirt guns and bubbles outside. All of the non-candy treasures were fun things that we were able to do with them after church. Abbi draws her own people now! Kacen blows bubbles with his mouth touching the wand, not many bubbles come out that way.
We stayed at home on Easter and enjoyed the children. Blowing bubbles, coloring pictures, Kacen learned how to use gis squirt gun that he got at a city Easter hunt, he calls it his sword.
They had fun decorating eggs on Thursday. We did it when Paul was home, he boiled the eggs! They each got four eggs to decorate. Kacen kept wanting more eggs to do so I kept handing him his same four over and over. They got very brightly colored, his blue one even had stripes. Abbi was good at dipping only half of her egg in at a time and Alona loved to decorate hers, her eggs had a LOT of stickers. I think that I learned a lesson, we hid the real eggs with the plastic eggs and then ate the real eggs for lunch right before church. I was quite sick from eating that egg, now I know for years to come... don't hide the real eggs until you are ready to find them, not hours before.
The children got Easter books from me right before church, they were all different, one was the old testament, one was the new testament and there were other fun stories to read and color. Alona had more fun reading all about hers before going back and picking one to color.

29 weeks!!!

The front facing picture Abbi took! She did a fantastic job! I am feeling horrible that I asked for help from others but I am not helping others as much as I was pre-pregnancy. So not horrible that I asked for help, just that I am not helping as much as I would like to. It drives me nuts, I would like to be able to do more.

my little conversationalist

Kacen does not like going to bed(never has). Tonight I was holding his door knob, he had come out many times and I kept putting him back in his room. This is the little conversation that he had with himself when I was holding it shut. I couldn't help but laugh while standing there.

The door is shut!

Mom shut the door...

Its not nice to shut the door!

Its dark!

Its locked!

ITS NOT NICE TO LOCK IT!!!!! (with increased enthusiasm)

Spring Soccer starting up!

Today was Alona's first soccer game this spring. Same girls, same coach, a few different personalities coming out of the girls that weren't there last fall. When team mates score a goal Alona jumps up and and down and does other exciting gestures. And when the other girls run down the field kicking the ball, Alona is hopping down the field like a bunny rabbit. It is so cute. Watching her play today definitely put a smile on my face.
I am getting better at being a mom to children who play sports. The kids were all prepared today: hats, gloves, chairs, blankets and snacks! Alona even had a turtle neck and pants under her clothes. At the end she got gatorade and a chocolate bunny for a treat!
Abbi will be playing baseball next month! It is called smart start baseball, not sure what they will be doing it is the age group before t-ball. I guess I will see. She came to look at pictures from Alona's soccer game and asked if she could invite Grandma to her games! She is super excited.
It was a cold day, but so much nicer in Roy than it was in so many other places. Driving there we went through snow, sleet, hail and rain. We got to Farmington and could see clear skies ahead. And what do you know Roy is where that was. It was over cast all around but sunny there, just a little chilly and windy.
It was a good day. We wont make it to every soccer game, but will definitely enjoy every one that we make it to.
