When its important, you make it happen

I had so many road blocks come up while trying to make it to my brothers wedding. When I thought that I had fixed one, another one would come up. But in the end, I knew what was important and I was able to make it to my brothers wedding. At first I thought that with not having to pay a gas bill, that I would be able to afford it and go by myself, nope. So then I thought that I had enough gas in my car to ride up to my grandparents house and drive with them. But I had one too many people, so I tried to find someone to watch one of my kids so we could go, right before I found someone to take one (Alona) my great aunt died and I didnt think that my grandparents would want three kids spending the night with them in Idaho while they went to her funeral. See many roadblocks. But suffice to say, I made it, and I am so glad that I did! I think Chris was a little surprised when I called to ask him which church the wedding was at and he came to get me cause I was at the wrong one. There is a picture with my brother, Abbi and I before the ceremony started, the boys kept running off.

Abbi was so super excited that Roslyn was her new aunt. She kept wanting to go see her before the ceremony. And was enthralled that to get a picture hugging her afterwards. The luncheon was delicious and entertaining, they would kiss when the bells were rung that were on the tables. and I am excited that we were able to be a part of the Wedding pictures.

Staycation with Grandma, Bella and Papa

Dont know if anyone is reading my blog,
but I think these moments are important, so here it goes anyway.

We are so glad that Marta and Bella came to our house for a week long visit before they moved to Georgia. It was our first time having family stay more than one night and we loved it. We had dinner when they arrived here on Monday night. And then started planning our week once they got here.
First full day with them here,
we went to story time at the Provo library
Our Second full day of them being here, we took a trip to Carl's Junior and then went to the dollar theater to watch Rio, which just happened to be in 3D.

The glasses were pretty cool

The movie was about a captive blue macaw, that was brought to Brazil to be bred. He goes on some fun and exciting adventures, and discovers who he is and where he came from.

Then we went to the neighborhood potluck bbq for dinner. Everyone had baked fish (I traded my for chicken). And the kids played with the other kids in the quad.
The next day we went to the zoo, amazing Elephants.
Rio at the theater was a good activity to do the day before the zoo.
We went to the bird show and they blue and red macaw's flying
around. It was amazing to watch
photogenic Abbi

Parting is not sweet, dont know who came up with that.
Glad that I could be there when my Abbi was there crying
that Grandma and Papa were leaving and moving away
as I held her, held on to her and heard her heart break
as I watched tears just sit on the top of her head
and other tears drip beneath her.

T-Ball

Kacen played T-Ball this year. The first game was probably the most fun to watch. Kacen's team was in the outfield first so they were all catching the balls, seriously, there was a group of five dog piling to catch the ball.
Then they were up to bat, after Kacen had hit the ball and he was rounding bases, he ran past second and headed to third but before he kept going he saw the ball that his other team mate had hit and went to go catch it. Yep he was playing both sides, being outfield first must've confused him a little.

But since then he has learned better how to play the game.
And is a actually a great hitter and is getting better at everything every time he plays!
This is Yesterdays practice
One of the Coaches was up against a wall and letting the kids practice throwing by aiming at him. They didnt let up, after he had left the wall and taken a phone call, some of the kids thought Coach was a fun moving target. He was such a good sport.

Happy Fourth!

Woke up before 6 am, got all the kids up, dressed, into the van and headed out to Provo for their annual Freedom Festival Hot Air Balloons.

Those are some hot flames even when you are 20 feet away. I cant imagine how toasty it would be to ride in the basket.

We were on the wrong side of the Piggy Balloon, as you can see. And were leaving as
Darth Vader was getting put up.

The kids had a great time, we even ran in to friends that live around the block from us. The weather was kinda questionable, with all the storm clouds out. So to appease the Huge crowd, the balloons were filled and tethered in the air so we could at least see them lift off, without actually taking off.
